Exodus 37:7-9

⁷ He made two cherubim out of gold. They were hammered works for the two sides of the seat of atonement, ⁸ one cherub on one side and one cherub on the other side. He made the cherubim all of one piece at the two ends of the seat of atonement. ⁹ The cherubim had two wings spreading out, covering the seat of atonement. They were facing one another and the faces of the cherubim were turned toward the seat of atonement.
